WHEN I GRADUATED WITH A NATURE CONSERVATION
diploma under my arm, I was ready to take on the world of hard-hitting environmental journalism. Little did I know that my natural gravitation towards lifestyle, health and fitness-focused content would see me completing a BA in English and Media, only to enter Highbury Media as a fresh, young and slightly naive junior copy editor. My sheer determination saw me climb the ranks quickly, moving from mid to senior to chief copy editor, all the while picking up special projects and editing Wedding Album. My move over to Group Editor was an exciting next step, working with well-established brands such as The Foschini Group, and relaunching commercial brands such as Woman&Home, Garden&Home, Food&Home, Rooi Rose and Bona.
